Hatha Yoga for Stress Release at

About the workshop
This yoga for stress class is ideal for those who spend long periods of time sitting, who are newer to or returning to yoga, or for anyone seeking a quieter, focused practice. Poetry, sound, pranayama, or mudras may be included to accentuate the experience. Each class will begin with a short period of breathing and meditation to calm the mind, followed by gentle movements to wake up the spine, and transitions into an accessible sequence of standing shapes to build strength and stability. Later in the class, we will move into a few longer-held, floor-based shapes to increase flexibility within your natural range of motion, ending with time to meditate and restore. Please note this is not a flow class. Gentle inversions may be practiced.
