No Lights No Lycra is a substance-free, judgment-free dance party in the dark that began more than a decade ago in Australia and now happens in more than 50 communities all over the world, including right here in Austin, Texas. With the lights turned out and the music turned up, NLNL is an opportunity for people of all life stages and skill levels to move freely and unselfconsciously. There's no physical contact with anyone else, no conversation with other dancers, no eyes on you, and no photos or videos. We take an hour to let go of the stress, anxiety, and concerns of the world and replace them with messages from our highest selves. This session is designed to increase your awareness, compassion, and self-love so that you can go out and reflect that back out into the world. That sounds pretty good, doesn't it? No prior experience is required - simply come as you are. Mae DeevyMae Deevy is a Certified Hypnotist, Integrative Coach & Host of the "Stories from the Subconscious" Podcast. She is also a classically trained singer with a Bachelor's Degree in Music. You can find Mae on the 3rd Eye schedule guiding clients through sound bath and visualization experiences that have been described as “nothing short of magical.” Mae works with clients privately and in group coaching programs to reframe and rewrite the stories we tell ourselves so that we can step into a place of calm clarity.
