Cello is my first love; I’ve been playing since age eight and am a professional cellist. My background as a musician led me to pursue a degree in Music Therapy. After doing end-of-life care as a Board Certified Music Therapist, I wanted to expand my clinical toolbox, and moved to Austin to complete my Master of Science in Social Work and obtain my LMSW.
Needing refuge from the heartache of working with survivors of trauma, I discovered yoga in a new way for quieting the mind and energizing the body, then began incorporating yoga asana and pranayama into my sessions with clients.
When the pandemic hit, I seized the opportunity to expand my formal yoga training, and completed my 200-Hour teacher training with Soul Strong Yoga in Round Rock. I ended up growing a baby during the entire nine-month program, causing prenatal yoga to be very near and dear to my heart. I am now a mother to beautiful baby Elowen! I enjoy hiking and backpacking, discovering new vegan food, wine tasting, traveling, and simply being with my family and friends.
