Amelia V.

Amelia was introduced to yoga by her sister when she was about 12 years old! For the years prior, she was a gymnast but knew she needed something else. She immediately fell in love with yoga because of the connection of mind, body, and spirit. This connection propelled her understanding of the world and that the only constant is change, yet yoga has been one of the only consistencies in her life. Amelia has dealt with severe chronic pain for years and yoga and dance were the only modalities that offered a moment of reprieve. While yoga could never fully take away the pain, it allowed her to look at it face to face with mindfulness and curiosity. Because of this, Amelia aims to provide intentionally safe and creative classes for students to come back home to the truest sense of themselves. Amelia understands that our bodies need many forms of movement in order to prevent injury and engage our minds. This is why she loves to teach many styles of yoga whether it is a faster paced Vinyasa flow or slow and juicy restorative class with the healing sounds of her bowls. When Amelia is not teaching you might find her near any body of water, running her doula business, traveling with her partner, or spending time outside.
