One of the most popular yoga myths is the belief that you need to be flexible before ever setting foot on a mat. The truth is, flexibility isn’t a prerequisite. In fact, a regular yoga practice will actually help you become more flexible over time. Increased flexibility can help decrease the risk of injuries, create a better range of motion of joints, lengthen muscles, improve balance and overall health!Flexibility + mobility is a fun, judgment-free space, suitable for all levels. In this class we will work on different muscle groups and joints each week, using Functional movements, CARs (Controlled Articular Rotations), Kinstretch techniques as well as Myofascial release to improve range of motion and flexibility. Props such as straps, bolsters, blocks, and tennis balls will be used to target specific areas and help ease your body into the poses and stretches. Modifications and options will be offered throughout the class.

One hour with just you and pure energy on the mat, the perfect time to stop worries and thoughts. My name is Olexandra I am a teacher of hatha yoga, which in Sanskrit means "hatha" - strength, perseverance, absolute necessity, and "yoga" - connection, unity, curbing the mind.My journey started 9 years ago when I first came to a yoga camp and got acquainted with different types of yoga, meditation, mantras, and chanting and immediately dived into this wonderful world! Having visited India, and Nepal, I got even more convinced that yoga plays a substantial role in my life, and now I want to share with other people my knowledge and see my destiny in serving the world this way.The great sages of the past left us a remarkable legacy in the form of yoga, which not only helps us to be healthy physically but also helps us mentally, with our fears and anxieties.I believe that through the physical body, we can work with the energy in the chakras and the soul. The entire universe is in us, you just need to believe in it and yoga will help you to feel it.Join me for this rejuvenating hatha yoga and meditation class.

Did you know as many as 80% of people fail to keep their New Year Resolutions past January? This year – It’s time to try something new.Join us for an exploratory workshop where we will tap into new levels of TRUST, INNER KNOWING and REMEMBERING THE TRUTH… that the universe REALLY DOES have your back!In this workshop, you will be guided using EFT Tapping to dive deep into trapped emotions followed by breathwork and sound healing to soothe, release, and support the integration process.EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique), also known as "Tapping," is a combination of Chinese medicine and modern psychology that helps relax the nervous system, release unwanted stress, and free us from unresolved trauma. As we tap on the meridian points of our body we send a calming message to the brain lowering our cortisol and allowing new positive neural pathways to develop.Restorative Breathwork is a meditative practice developed to move us inward toward more subtle dimensions of awareness. The circular breath technique gives permission for the mind to relax which then gives way for the body to display what messages lie beneath the surface. With every layer, prepare to uncover deeper aspects of yourself which can lead to feelings of liberation or increased self-realization.Please wear loose and comfortable clothing, arrive with an empty stomach and bring your own yoga mat, blanket, journal/pen and any other items to make yourself comfortable (pillow, eye mask, etc.)

Yin is a slow, mindful practice that targets the connective tissues, such as ligaments, joints, and fascia. Working with the energetic systems of the body, Yin Yoga brings the body into balance, and improves its natural range of motion. Most poses are done while seated or lying down supported by the use of props, and are held in stillness for several minutes. As we move into stillness, we bring body, breath and soul into harmony. It’s a perfect complement to physical yoga practice. You will leave class feeling refreshed, renewed and restored.

I recently started the 30-day trial for $30, and I’m absolutely loving the studio and classes so far. There’s an impressive variety of classes for all levels, and I’ve already tried classes with eight different instructors. Every class leaves me feeling relaxed and refreshed. Plus, the complimentary tea at the front desk is such a thoughtful bonus! Update! I wanted to share that after the initial 30 days, I encountered a cost barrier. The studio went above and beyond to work with me and find a plan that allowed me to keep practicing there. Huge shoutout to Steff for the support!

I have been very pleased to reconnect with my yoga practice through Flow Yoga. The variety of classes and instructors that are available make it very accommodating to find just what I need. Although I am limited in my abilities, no one makes me feel like I don’t belong! If there were anything I would like to see different, it would be for them to replace the bolsters with new ones. I’m very grateful to have this wonderful studio available to me!

Flow Yoga is an amazing yoga resource for people in Austin, and I love the Westgate studio the most. It's a great location with a lot of variety of classes to choose from. The instructors are all skilled and engaging, and it feels like an intimate experience every class. As someone who only did vinyasa before joining Flow, I've loved learning Hatha, flexibility + mobility and more - there is something for everyone here!

This place is amazing and so value to my personal practice and life. I appreciate the range of intensity they have for their classes as well as the range of type of classes from yoga to meditation to sound baths across all their studios. And their studios are an incredible vibe. I love spending time in their lounge drinking the chai they always have available. This place has become a second home to me and I enjoy it so much.
