at GeorgetownBegin 2026 with intention as we gather on the 1/11 portal to craft malas and commit to a 40-day meditation practice that sets the tone for your year.
On January 11th, we’ll gather for a hands-on workshop where you’ll learn how to create your own 108-bead meditation mala. We’ll talk about how to use your mala for meditation, prayer, breathwork, gratitude, or reflective practice, whatever aligns with your personal beliefs.
In this hands-on workshop, you’ll create your own 108-bead mala, a traditional tool used for focus, grounding, and mantra-based meditation. You’ll learn how malas are used, why they’re built the way they are, and how your practice can become steadier and more consistent with the right structure in place.
We’ll close with a quiet, heart-centered meditation using your new mala so you begin your 40-day journey already rooted in steadiness and intention.
What to expect:
No experience necessary. All materials provided.
You’ll leave with a completed hand-made mala and a clear, grounded structure for your 40-day practice.
Jenny is a yoga teacher, RN, and movement educator who weaves functional movement with accessible meditation and devotional practices. A registered nurse with a BSN and a background in post-surgical joint care, she brings over a decade of experience educating others on anatomy, recovery, and holistic wellbeing. She’s also a Third Degree Reiki practitioner and spent four years immersed in Nondual healing studies, adding depth and energetic precision to her work on and off the mat.
Her classes are a blend of grounded science, subtle energy, curiosity, and humor. Students often say she makes things feel both doable and meaningful, never too serious, always real.
As studio manager, she walks alongside the dreamers and doers, clearing paths, lighting candles, and helping turn big ideas into grounded reality. She's the behind-the-scenes anchor: whispering wild ideas into the right ears, wrangling chaos, and offering steady support and lots of joyful humor so teachers can bring their magic to life.
