BIPOC Dream Weaving

Join us for a transformative Dream Weaving workshop designed specifically for people of color. In this unique gathering, we will explore our personal dreams and aspirations, coming together to create a powerful collective vision for our community.

In a world where people of color often face systemic challenges and barriers, creating intentional spaces for dreaming and envisioning a better future is crucial. This workshop aims to empower participants to imagine possibilities beyond current limitations and to cultivate a sense of hope and agency.

During the workshop, we will engage in open dialogue, share our stories, and support each other in envisioning a better future. We will incorporate movement and meditation to deepen our connection to our dreams and to each other. This is a safe and inclusive space where we can be intentional about the kind of world we want to create.

By coming together to share our dreams, we can build a stronger, more connected community that supports and uplifts each other. This collective dreaming process not only fosters personal growth but also inspires collective action towards creating the world we want to live in. We will open up the session with intention setting then flow into a meditation, movement, then end out with an open dialogue.

This is a sliding scale event- pay what you can.

Meet your host

Venus embarked on her yoga journey seven years ago, discovering its profound impact on her mental well-being and its remarkable grounding effect.
Since then, she has remained devoted to her practice, culminating in her achievement of a 200-hour yoga teacher training certificate in Bali in 2019, where she studied both Hatha and Vinyasa styles.
In addition to her yoga practice, Venus leads a monthly Queer Black Yoga event on behalf of The Queer Black Yoga Alliance and has co-founded Free People, Free People, a monthly gathering with a mission to cultivate empowering BIPOC spaces grounded in liberation, fostering authenticity and care through somatic practices of meditation, yoga, and breathwork.
In her classes, Venus places a strong emphasis on the transformative power of somatic healing, seamlessly weaving breathwork and meditation alongside the practice of asanas.
Venus firmly believes in the universality of yoga, seeing every individual as a vessel for its profound benefits, and she is steadfast in her commitment to making her classes inclusive and accessible to all.
