Introduction To Meditation

In Intro to Meditation you will learn the 8-step path illuminated in ancient yogic literature, why it has such a profound effect on the body and mind, and why it is still helpful and important in today's world.
 
This workshop will cover:
  • A variety of optimal seated positions for meditation
  • How best to prepare your body to sit
  • Breathing techniques to calm the body and prepare the mind for a meditative state
  • How to tune out noises and distractions
  • Simple concentration techniques for a good meditation
  • Practice the real meaning of meditation in yoga
 
This 2-hour workshop will give you a set of basic tools to help you successfully meditate any time and enjoy it as a regular practice.
 
* Previous yoga experience is not required to benefit from these techniques.

Meet your host

Dina Robison is a certified 500-hour yoga instructor and a certified meditation instructor. Since receiving her first training in 2004, Dina has been teaching vinyasa yoga in New York City, Silicon Valley, and now in Hill Country, Texas. She has taught yoga to groups and private clients of all ages at top gyms, businesses, and yoga studios.
