at GeorgetownParenting can feel like both the greatest gift and the hardest work. This 2-hour workshop offers a safe, supportive space to explore your current challenges, heal old wounds, and reconnect with your truth. Through guided practices and compassionate dialogue, you’ll leave feeling lighter, more centered, and equipped with new strategies to parent with confidence, compassion, and presence.
This is a journey of healing and renewal, an invitation to shift patterns, nurture your inner child, and strengthen the roots of connection within your family.
Healing Roots integrates conscious parenting principles through an IFS (Internal Family Systems) lens. We’ll weave together evidence-based strategies from SPACE training, the wisdom of Brené Brown’s Gifts of Imperfection, and integrative healing practices. Together, we’ll explore how to lead with courage, compassion, and deeper connection.

Marci is an integrative healing coach, group leader, and writer specializing in individual, family, and intergenerational trauma. Her work draws on compassion practices, contemplative arts, mindfulness meditation, applied neuroscience, and most recently, kundalini energy work. Since founding Whole Wellness Counseling, PLLC in 2008, she has supported thousands of clients in healing trauma, overcoming anxiety, and cultivating resilience through a holistic and empowering approach.
Her latest development, Present Empowered Parenting, is a transformative coaching program that weaves together conscious parenting principles, evidence-based strategies from SPACE training, the wisdom of Brené Brown’s Gifts of Imperfection, and integrative healing practices—guiding parents to lead with courage, compassion, and connection.
Jenny blends clinical expertise with down-to-earth teaching to help students move better, feel stronger, and live with less pain. A registered nurse with a BSN and a background in post-surgical joint care, she brings over a decade of experience educating others on anatomy, recovery, and holistic wellbeing. She’s also a Third Degree Reiki practitioner and spent four years immersed in Nondual healing studies, adding depth and energetic precision to her work on and off the mat.
Her classes are rooted in functional movement and joint care, with just the right dose of weird shoulder drills, breathwork, and playful energy.
As studio manager, she walks alongside the dreamers and doers, clearing paths, lighting candles, and helping turn big ideas into grounded reality. She's the behind-the-scenes anchor: whispering wild ideas into the right ears, wrangling chaos, and offering steady support and lots of joyful humor so teachers can bring their magic to life.
