Yoga Retreat: Living Fully Awake

A Women's Retreat in the Ancient Ouachita Mountains

Mar 5, 2026

Tucked into the lush forests and rivers of Hochatown, this women’s weekend retreat invites you to remember what it feels like to be alive, really alive. These four days are a soft but powerful rebellion against living on autopilot. Together, we explore what it means to wake up each morning with presence, joy, discipline, and the willingness to meet life fully.

Here, “living fully awake” is a simple, embodied lifestyle. Through movement, breath, partner practices, nature, and creative ritual, you’ll learn how to weave wakefulness into your daily rhythms, not by trying harder, but by allowing yourself to feel more.

Each morning begins with sadhana — our devotion to practice — and a dharma talk that frames the day. These teachings become our guideposts as we move through partner work, nature time, creative exploration, and nightly sound baths under the quiet Oklahoma sky.

Throughout the weekend you’ll create small rituals of awakening:  yoga & meditation, simple practices to return to joy, and tender reminders for yourself and others that life is too precious to sleepwalk through!

Come ready to breathe deeper, laugh harder, move your body, connect with women who see you, and walk back into your life with a clearer, brighter flame.

“This is it. You’re alive. Enjoy it.” - Alan Watts

Yoga retreat destination: Hochatown, Oklahoma

The Ouachita Mountains hold a quiet kind of magic, towering pines that sway like guardians, winding creeks that murmur their own stories, and a sky so wide and clear it feels like an invitation. Just minutes from Broken Bow Lake and Beavers Bend State Park, the land here has a way of slowing your breath and sharpening your senses without you trying.

The Ouachitas are among the most ancient mountains on Earth, worn soft over 300 million years into gentle, rolling hills. Their rounded feminine forms, rising and falling like a slow breath. This softness is not weakness; it is the power of endurance, the quiet strength of a lineage that has outlasted ice ages and continents drifting apart. Beneath them lies one of the planet’s great quartz crystal beds, pure, clear, amplifying. The Sacred Feminine moves through these stones. You can feel the steady hum as it awakens something ancient inside you.

Arriving here in March, Women’s Month, and completing our retreat on International Women’s Day adds a powerful layer of meaning. These ancient mountains become witnesses to your unfolding: soft, strong, patient, and wise. In this forest, nature isn’t a backdrop, it’s an ally, holding you as you step into what it means to live fully awake.

Your guides on this yoga retreat

Yoga retreat host Stephanie W. at Flow Yoga

Stephanie W.

Stephanie is a yoga studio owner and passionate community builder, creating a space rooted in her deep love of movement, healing, and connection. A mother of three and a devoted explorer of the inner world, her teachings reflect her personal practice—embodied, heart-led, and ever evolving.

Her classes offer a space to slow down and become more intimate with what’s here. Through breath, movement, and stillness, she invites you to feel what’s true in your body and let that be enough. With gentle guidance and open curiosity, she holds space for people to soften, release, and reconnect—without needing to fix or force anything.

An Aquarian at heart, she honors the wild, intuitive, and expressive spirit in all of us, and believes in creating spaces where we can safely unravel and reawaken. Her greatest joy is watching others come home to themselves—through breath, through movement, through community.

Yoga retreat host Jenny D. at Flow Yoga

Jenny D.

Jenny blends clinical expertise with down-to-earth teaching to help students move better, feel stronger, and live with less pain. A registered nurse with a BSN and a background in post-surgical joint care, she brings over a decade of experience educating others on anatomy, recovery, and holistic wellbeing. She’s also a Third Degree Reiki practitioner and spent four years immersed in Nondual healing studies, adding depth and energetic precision to her work on and off the mat.

Her classes are rooted in functional movement and joint care, with just the right dose of weird shoulder drills, breathwork, and playful energy.

As studio manager, she walks alongside the dreamers and doers, clearing paths, lighting candles, and helping turn big ideas into grounded reality. She's the behind-the-scenes anchor: whispering wild ideas into the right ears, wrangling chaos, and offering steady support and lots of joyful humor so teachers can bring their magic to life.

Yoga Retreat accommodation

Your home for the weekend, The Willow Retreat Cabins, is a collection of four modern, beautifully designed cabins nestled together in the woods of Hochatown. Each cabin has its own personality, but all share the same comforts: cozy modern-farmhouse interiors, fully stocked kitchens, and outdoor living spaces with hot tubs, fireplaces, and fire pits beneath the pines. It’s the perfect blend of comfort, nature, and retreat-center energy.

We offer 7 private rooms across the property, ideal for women who prefer a little extra quiet, privacy, or space to land. These rooms include king or queen beds with ensuite or nearby bathrooms, premium linens, and peaceful forest views.

The rest of our accommodations are found in the bunk rooms, and we truly encourage women to consider these shared spaces. The bunk rooms are spacious, intentionally designed, and surprisingly luxurious—with twin-over-full, twin bunks, and even a unique queen-over-queen bunk room. Shared rooms tend to cultivate a deeper sense of connection, laughter, late-night conversations, and the kind of slow sisterhood bonding that retreats are known for.

This year, we’re also offering top bunk and bottom bunk pricing options so you can choose what feels most comfortable for your body and your budget.

Every space is designed for gathering when you crave connection and retreating to quiet when you need a moment to yourself.

Whether you’re sipping tea on a porch swing, soaking under the stars, chatting around the firepit, or curling up in your bunk with a journal, the cabins become an extension of the practice—warm, grounding, supportive, and held by the forest.
