Camila M.

Camila came to yoga in 2010 as a way to manage her anxiety and panic attacks which had become debilitating. The practice invited her to challenge herself physically while creating space for inward reflection and, over time, healing. Camila’s experience of the yoga practice as a tool to support mental, emotional, and spiritual wellbeing led her to pursue teacher training in order to be able to share this work with others.
She completed her 200hr certification through the Nadi Yogi program with Ben Heath and Hilly Flora in 2015, after pursuing a 100hr Hatha Intensive training through the Living Yoga Program in 2012. Since then she’s studied Yin Yoga with Erinn Lewis, Jenn Wooten, Fanny Priest, and Gioconda Parker. In 2019, she completed her 500hr studies under the tutelage of Gioconda Parker, along with completing 30hrs of iRest Yoga Nidra Training with Stephanie Lopez.
Camila’s teaching style is rooted in the belief that the yoga practice is a way to connect more deeply to our shared human experience, and to welcome all aspects of our humanity. By creating space for what is, we invite the possibility of what could be.
Originally from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, Camila lived in Kent, England throughout much of her childhood before landing in Texas. She has called Austin home since 2003.
