Jolie U.

Jolie has been practicing yoga for over 12 years, when she walked into a local studio in a small town in New Jersey, and quickly fell in love with the practice. In 2017, she fulfilled her lifelong dream of moving to Austin, and discovered a wonderful yoga community in the city. She has since spent much of her time dedicated to practicing with different teachers in Austin, and draws inspiration from her experiences with yoga, therapy, Vippasana meditation, breathwork, Buddhism, and of course, life. You’ll likely hear her share stories and teach ideas that relate to the practice of yoga, lessons she’s learned from past teachers, or themes that relate to an experience she’s had along the way. She’s known for her love of Stevie Nicks, non-attactment, and balancing poses. Jolie loves connecting with others, getting students to laugh and enjoy their class while encouraging personal growth! She does her best to enjoy life, but still knows that sometimes things get real, and sometimes we just need to spend an hour resting on the mat and have a teacher offer space for us. At the end of the day, she’s simply a yoga teacher that’s just trying to spare the life of bugs, with a desire to provide yoga to everyone through an open, curious space of growth, meditation & a little bit of fun.

Yin is a slow, mindful practice that targets the connective tissues, such as ligaments, joints, and fascia. Working with the energetic systems of the body, Yin Yoga brings the body into balance, and improves its natural range of motion. Most poses are done while seated or lying down supported by the use of props, and are held in stillness for several minutes. As we move into stillness, we bring body, breath and soul into harmony. It’s a perfect complement to physical yoga practice. You will leave class feeling refreshed, renewed and restored.
