What to expect

Flow classes are intended to provide a middle ground for the Yang practices. Blending elements of vinyasa and hatha, flowing and holding, while also allowing for creative interpretation individual to each of your incredible Flow Instructors.

Flow is slower paced than your vinyasa classes but faster and more succinct than a Hatha practice. Classes will have elements of flowing sequences as well as extended holds so that practitioners can get aspects of expression and structure in a balanced and all levels friendly container. The degree to which each element is present will be individual to the teacher but regardless this class is inclusive to all.

The main goal of this style of yoga is to create a state of calmness and balance while finding strength. You can also perform it as a form of moving meditation. It helps bring the body into a state of deep relaxation and mindfulness by working with the breath and practicing mindful movements and holds in a slow and gentle manner.

I’ve been going to Jillian’s amazing flow classes on Tuesday and Thursday evenings for over a year and can’t say enough about them. I wanted to get back to a regular yoga practice at a studio, so I tried Flow Yoga Westgate with their new student special. The studio staff, instructors, and clientele are very welcoming. There are a variety of instructors, yoga styles, and classes available at times that work with busy schedules. I love it so much that I continued with the Unlimited option. One of the nice things about this "membership" is there are no contracts, no sign-up fee, and no cancellation fee. A bonus is their tasty yogi tea!

Flow Yoga is everything you want in a yoga studio/community. I am so grateful I found them! The classes are transformative and healing, every single one!
