Kelly O.

Kelly is originally from Virginia and moved to Austin in 2013. She has a background in dance, and danced professionally until she was 23. She found yoga as a tool to help with mental health and chronic pain, and has found her practice deeply healing. All of her classes and offerings now are in an effort to give back to the community and facilitate the same environments that allowed her to reconnect with herself.
Kelly has completed several 200 hr and advanced trainings with Sukha Yoga and Laughing Lotus in Vinyasa and meditation in addition to a mentorship with Jacq St. Pierre. Kelly is also a licensed massage therapist and massage therapy instructor. She is currently a graduate candidate in the School of Social Work at Texas State University, and is studying to become a Somatic Experiencing Practitioner.
In her classes you can expect lots of invitations to explore and find movement that feels good to your body with appropriate moments of challenge and deep rest. Elements of breath work, meditation, mantra, yoga philosophy, and embodiment practices are woven throughout each class, and you are always welcome just as you are!

Hatha Yoga in austin Texas Hatha yoga details

Yoga means union, and also union of opposites...effort and ease, strength and flexibility. To find balance in the body, we need both movement and stillness. Flow +Chill is a combination class, starting with a slower paced vinyasa, followed by restorative poses (supported by props). We will flow for half of class to warm the body up, then take the second part of class to stretch, release tension and dive into a deeper state of chill.Some classes might include sound healing, breathwork or meditation.
