Maggie M.

After years in the high stress restaurant business, I decided to follow my dream of becoming a yoga teacher. In 2018, I received my 200 RYT certification through Flow Yoga. Since then I have designed and led a variety of classes including Vinaysa Flow, Hatha, Yin, Restorative & Chair. My intention as a teacher is for people to leave class with a regulated nervous system and open heart. When we are able to feel peace in the present moment we are able to expand our capacity for love and compassion for ourselves and the people around us.
I am so grateful for the Flow Yoga community and aim to lead classes where all feel welcome.

Style: Yin / Yang yoga class Learn about Yin / Yang Yoga class style ›

Yin is a slow, mindful practice that targets the connective tissues, such as ligaments, joints, and fascia. Working with the energetic systems of the body, Yin Yoga brings the body into balance, and improves its natural range of motion. Most poses are done while seated or lying down supported by the use of props, and are held in stillness for several minutes. As we move into stillness, we bring body, breath and soul into harmony. It’s a perfect complement to physical yoga practice. You will leave class feeling refreshed, renewed and restored.
