at 3rd EyeA 2 hour workshop exploring the philosophy, science, and practice of Yoga Nidra, the conscious art of deep rest.
Yoga Nidra is more than simply learning how to rest. Within the tradition, the practice can also become a powerful way of working with intention and transformation. We’ll explore Sankalpa, a firm inner resolve or heartfelt intention, and its deeper roots in the yogic and Tantric traditions. Rather than simply setting a goal, Sankalpa is about clarifying what we want to cultivate and embody in our lives, and consciously planting that intention within a deeply receptive state of awareness.
We’ll look at how Yoga Nidra can be approached for different purposes, including deep rest and restoration, working with the mind and cognition, healing, and conscious transformation. We’ll also explore how Sankalpa can become a bridge between deep inner rest and the way we choose to live our lives.
The workshop will conclude with a complete guided Yoga Nidra practice, allowing you to experience these teachings directly.
Includes:
• 2 hour Yoga Nidra workshop
• Introduction to the philosophy and history of Yoga Nidra
• Understanding different approaches to the practice
• Exploration of Sankalpa and the art of conscious resolve
• Practical guidance for deeper rest and awareness
• Complete guided Yoga Nidra practice
