Vinyasa (heated) At Flow Yoga Georgetown with Lindzi N.

Vinyasa yoga is a creative form of yoga. Yoga poses are linked together with the breath in a flowing sequence. Expect to move, sometimes vigorously, from pose to pose. This practice stimulates and energizes the mind and body through asanas (poses), with focus on the breath. This class will help you to build strength, increase endurance, create flexibility, and release tension.

If you appreciate having things a little loose and like to keep moving, this style is definitely worth a try.

One of the most popular yoga myths is the belief that you need to be flexible before ever setting foot on a mat. The truth is, flexibility isn’t a prerequisite. In fact, a regular yoga practice will actually help you become more flexible over time. Increased flexibility can help decrease the risk of injuries, create a better range of motion of joints, lengthen muscles, improve balance and overall health!Flexibility + mobility is a fun, judgment-free space, suitable for all levels. In this class we will work on different muscle groups and joints each week, using yoga, mobility, and stability techniques as well as Myofascial release to improve range of motion and flexibility. Props such as straps, bolsters, blocks, and tennis balls will be used to target specific areas and help ease your body into the poses and stretches. Modifications and options will be offered throughout the class.Read class details

First of let me say, I'm an emotional basketcase and I have scoliosis and runners knee. Ya girl needs yoga because PT was not doing it. This is also about to be a long ass review. First I went to a lunch time class at their north loop location and rudely got there late. Then I remembered I had a psychiatrist call mid class and ran out and left crap absolutely everywhere. I come back and they've just cleaned up after me and gave me all these free class cards and were just absolutely so kind when I had been just terribly rude. Then as I'm leaving their parking lot some dude rear ends me but I was in such a good mood from how nice the experience was that I told him I didn't really give a shit about it and let him leave without getting his insurance. LOL So I think I'm gonna try this out again in georgetown and once again, I am like 15 minutes late to the damn class. There is this woman up front who was so kind to help me with everything, and I explained that I am really new to yoga and what I'd signed up for. She said it would probably be difficult and fast paced but I was welcome to try. I then let her know I also just had a bunch of plastic surgery like a week and a half ago and she put the brakes on me REAL QUICK. She suggests I take this meditation class instead and let me tell yall, it was relaxing as hell. I am so tightly wound and a horrible insomniac and about half way through I relaxed enough to fall asleep and miss three really important calls from my surgeon. 😂 Anyways i finally get ahold of ole dude and he's in agreement with this lady up front that I was completely delusional trying to take this other fast paced class and needed to chill tf out for a few weeks and heal up. Luckily she pointed out the other slow ones to me so I know what I can actually sign up for. ANYWAYS I've always been so intimidated because of poor coordination, posture, and anxiety making good form difficult. The people who work and teach at these locations are so kind, helpful and relaxing to be around it's almost like stepping into another dimension. Even the other students have really kind, pleasant demeanors. Definitely planning on renewing with their unlimited plan and hopefully I can get to some classes on time and without anyone crashing into my car 🙏

I start my morning here multiple times a week. It’s lovely. Consider kickstarting your day with Flow Yoga - Georgetown. Each instructor thoughtfully guides you through the class, whether you’re new to yoga or not. Bring a mat (or I believe you can borrow). There’s always free hot tea with honey!

FAQ

Choosing the right yoga class is like picking a movie to watch – you want to find one that matches your mood and interests. Check out different studios, read class descriptions, and don't be afraid to ask questions. And remember, if you end up in a class that's not quite your cup of tea, there's always the next one.

Yoga is like a gentle cardio workout for your heart. It gets your blood flowing, strengthens your heart muscle, and can help lower blood pressure. Plus, you don't have to worry about your heart skipping a beat when you see your yoga instructor – unless they're really, really attractive.

Mindfulness in yoga is like the glue that holds everything together - it helps you stay present and connected to your body and breath, and can even enhance the mental and emotional benefits of your practice.

Yoga can help with chronic pain and injury recovery like a physical therapist for your body. It can help reduce pain and stiffness, improve flexibility, and increase strength. Plus, it's a lot more fun than going to physical therapy all day.

Yoga is like a personal trainer for your muscles. It can help improve muscle tone by strengthening and stretching your muscles. Plus, it's a lot cheaper than hiring a personal trainer to follow you around all day.
