Kara M - Yoga Teacher at Flow Yoga Austin - Flow Yoga Austin

Kara M.

Kara (she/her) is a 200-hour registered yoga teacher. She is working on her 300-hour training currently as well. Her classes are accessible to all levels, trauma-informed, and often incorporate a little bit of Chappell Roan in the playlist. Kara typically teaches a medium-spicy flow or a slower flow that includes functional and dynamic movements. Inspired by yoga therapy, Kara likes to take lots of classes in her own practice with yoga therapists and incorporates breathwork and/or meditation in many of her classes.

Kara worked in marketing for over 8 years and is currently going back to school for a Master’s in Counseling to become a therapist. She enjoys cooking, spending time on or near water, hanging out with her 2 chihuahua mixes, and reading the latest romantasy book (because you can only read so much about trauma at one time.)

Flow is a moving, breath-led class where you'll shift smoothly from one pose to the next without stopping to rest between them. You will be guided through a series of positions that build strength, improve flexibility, and help with balance. We begin with simple stretches, move into a sequence of uninterrupted motion, and end with relaxing poses. You will be guided with step-by-step instructions, while easier or harder options for each position will be shown. This class works for everyone—beginners get simpler options and more experienced students can try more challenging versions. You'll leave feeling stronger, more flexible, and relaxed.Read class details

Yoga represents the union of opposites—effort and ease, strength and flexibility—and this class is designed to help you find that perfect balance through both movement and stillness. We begin with a slower-paced Vinyasa flow for the first half of the session to warm the body and build mindful heat, before transitioning into a series of restorative poses supported by props. This intentional shift allows you to release deep-seated tension and dive into a state of chill. Some classes may be enhanced with sound healing, breathwork, or meditation. Read class details
