Madeleine T - Yoga Teacher at Flow Yoga Austin - Flow Yoga Austin
Madeleine T., yoga teacher at Flow Yoga

Madeleine T.

Madeleine Tilin brings 29 years of her love affair with the yogic path — as a teacher and student— to her students. She is passionate about helping others find ways to live with a sense of embodied and grounded joy. Her extensive yogic knowledge draws on various forms of vinyasa informed sequencing and kundalini informed meditation, kriya, mantra and pranayama techniques. Her passion for yogic philosophy and mantra will infuse her kundalini and hatha yoga classes at Flow. As photographer and writer, she offers a unique perspective when speaking to the physical, spiritual, symbolic and creative aspects of life on and off the mat.
Madeleine has countless hours (1000+) in many aspects of yogic training. Studies include: 300- hour KRI certified through Yoga Yoga, Austin, 1-year Immense Grace Women’s Kundalini Leadership program, Ra Ma Institute Los Angeles; 360 hours with Radiant Body Yoga certification with Kia Miller (including in-depth mantra, sadhana immersion and teacher training). She completed teacher trainings with Tias Little of Prajna Yoga, John Friend of Anusara yoga, and countless other shorter, but no less significant, areas of yogic study. She's taught yoga since the 1990’s in Austin, Santa Fe, Berkeley and Oakland — but took a significant break while parenting her now college aged children to focus on family, her photography business and deepening her own yogic studies.
Creator of the Soul Shift Program, she hosts Soul Shift yoga and creativity retreats and offers private yoga and spiritual coaching sessions.

Kundalini Yoga uses breathing techniques, dynamic movements, and meditation to awaken body energy. Unlike other yoga styles, this practice features repetitive movements known as kriyas, rapid breathing patterns, and chanting to balance your glandular system and boost immunity. While the rhythmic movements and specific breath-led postures can feel a bit unconventional at first, they are designed to release deep-seated tension, increase mental clarity, and create emotional balance. If you’re new to Kundalini or yoga in general, no worries! It is a spiritual practice as much as it is physical, making it a cherished option for everyone from complete beginners to advanced practitioners.Learn more about KundaliniRead class details

Using your voice isn’t about performance — it’s essential. Sound and breath are natural tools for regulation, release, and self-expression, and this immersive workshop offers a simple, accessible way to explore them.In this 2.5 hour experience we’ll begin with a gentle Kundalini kriya to support the throat chakra, helping release tension in the neck, jaw, shoulders, and chest. From there, we’ll move into guided vocal toning through the chakras, using easy, non-performative sounds to bring awareness and vibration through the body’s energy centers. We will also have some fun using vocal exercises as a group to move energy. Beginner's mind and a playful heart are the only requirements! We’ll close with a deeply restorative mantra and sound immersion, featuring gongs, crystal and Tibetan bowls, flute, and other live instrumentation. You’ll be invited to rest and receive as the sounds support integration and nervous system reset.Session will include 10-minute break and 20 minutes of journaling prompts specific to self expression, voice, confidence and bringing your creativity into the world. This workshop is for:-Yoga practitioners curious to explore beyond asana-Seasoned kundalini practitioners who want to explore their voice in a soulful and fun way-Anyone feeling disconnected from their voice or self-expression-Those interested in sound, breath, and energy in an approachable wayRead class details
