Lunar New Year, known in Chinese as 春节 or the Spring Festival, marks the coming of spring and is the most important annual festival in Chinese culture.
Join West China Tea House in celebrating the arrival of the Year of the Snake with traditional Chinese tea service, lion dance, food, and music!
In the lunar calendar, each year is associated with a particular animal in the 12-year cycle. This year we enter the Year of the Snake, associated with shedding of old patterns as a snake sheds its skin. This marker of transition is traditionally celebrated in community, people often dressing in red attire and gifting red envelopes to the lion dancers!
What to expect?
All ages are welcome, this is a family friendly event.
