Experience the benefits of yoga in a way that's accessible to all ages, abilities, and mobility levels. This Chair Yoga class adapts traditional yoga postures for seated practice and uses a chair for support. More than just physical movement, this practice will help you to cultivate presence and awareness every day.
With adjustments for every body, we'll explore gentle stretches to increase flexibility and range of motion, supported strengthening and balancing exercises to build stability, and mindful breathing techniques to calm the mind and reduce stress. Chair yoga can help you to improve circulation, reduce pain and stiffness, enhance balance and coordination, promote better sleep, and foster a sense of well-being.
Whether you're new to yoga, recovering from an injury, or simply seeking a gentler practice, join us in a safe and supportive environment to explore the connection between breath, body, and movement.
For over a decade, I have guided energetic and meditative practices in San Francisco and Austin, including Western Neo-Tantra and Jnana Yoga classes and workshops. I recently completed my 200-hour CYT training at My Vinyasa Practice in Austin, TX (August 2024) and now teach Hatha, Vinyasa, Chair, Yin, and Restorative yoga.
Integrating yoga and energy practices with a focus on body, breath, and movement, I help students cultivate presence and deepen their connection with themselves and the world. My classes are accessible to all levels and body types, providing tools for grounding, experiencing greater joy, and achieving personal goals.
My background includes diverse experiences as a student, guide, teacher, advisor, and public speaker and trainer and studies in various world religions and philosophies. My teachers include Dee Dessault (Ganja Yoga), Caroline Carrington (Sarasa Tantra), Julia Tindall, and Michelle Young and the inspiring teachers at My Vinyasa Practice and Flow Yoga in Austin. I am passionate about continuing to deepen my own practice and serve as a guide for others.
