I wish there was better insulation to reduce the comedy club and music noise but the neighborhood is vibrant and fun, so it’s still worth it. Thank you for nurturing this beautiful community. A gem! Yoga, sound healing, ecstatic dance, breath work, erotic movement, improv, and poetry open mics? At a yoga studio? Yep! A gem! Yoga, sound healing, ecstatic dance, breath work, erotic movement, improv, and poetry open mics? At a yoga studio? Yep! This place is awesome. I was staying in an Airbnb around the corner and stumbled on this place. $30 for the first 30 days got me and I'm glad it did. In the past week I've gotten way out of my comfort zone, experienced deep healing, found community and made friends. Can't wait to see what other magic unfolds! Thank you to the owner and all the instructors for cultivating such a wonderful space. ... read more read the full review

Where imagination blends with practice. I really like the classes here, they're just different and you get to connect with people because it's smaller and more intimate (for example the improv classes). They offer a variety of different classes with really knowledgeable instructors. The space is really cool and efficient. I love that they don’t have a minimum count for a class. I’ve gone to multiple sessions where it’s just been me and the instructor and really appreciate it. My favorite sessions have been the sound bath sessions. I book through class pass and rarely use any other yoga studio to practice. Love it here! ... read more read the full review

Flowmagin offers a variety of classes (not just yoga), so there’s something for everyone. So far I’ve tried out a sound healing meditation, candlelit yin yoga, and the partner yoga/Thai massage class. I enjoyed all of them. The instructors are welcoming and very passionate about what they teach. Cool fact that I didn’t realize until recently: Flow Yoga studios (various locations), 3rd Eye, Body Collective, and Flowmagin are all sister studios. So be sure to check out their other studios in town too since each type of studio has their own unique vibe! ... read more read the full review

FAQ

Yoga is like a lullaby for your body. It can help improve your sleep quality by reducing stress, calming your mind, and promoting relaxation. Plus, it's a lot more fun than counting sheep all night.

Breathing in yoga is like the fuel that powers your practice - it keeps you going and helps you get the most out of each pose. It also helps you stay calm and focused, and can even enhance the physical benefits of the poses.

There are many different types of yoga, each with their own focus and approach. Some of the most common include:

  • Ashtanga: a dynamic and physically demanding practice
  • Bikram: a series of 26 postures and two breathing exercises, practiced in a heated room
  • Iyengar: a meticulous style that emphasizes proper alignment and the use of props
  • Kundalini: a spiritual practice that involves chanting, meditation, and dynamic movement
  • Restorative: a gentle practice that uses props to support the body in passive postures.

Yoga helps with pregnancy like a prenatal vitamin, providing nourishment and support for both mother and baby. It can help you prepare for childbirth, reduce stress and anxiety, and improve overall well-being. Plus, it's a lot more fun than swallowing a giant pill.

A typical yoga class is like a good movie - it lasts long enough to tell a story, but not so long that you start to nod off. Most classes run between 60-90 minutes, but there are also shorter and longer options available, depending on your schedule and attention span.
