108 Sun Salutations for the Summer Solstice
Each year, as the sun reaches its highest point in the sky, we gather to honor the shift of the season and the light within us. This is a ritual of joy and discipline—a chance to recommit to growth, to presence, and to the path of betterment.
Join Claire for a moving meditation of 108 Sun Salutations—a sacred number in yogic tradition, representing wholeness, spiritual alignment, and the deep connection between the individual and the universe.
Why 108?
Because in many spiritual and mathematical systems, 108 carries deep symbolism:
It marks the convergence of 108 energy lines at the heart chakra
Malas used for mantra repetition have 108 beads
The Earth is approximately 108 times the diameter of the Sun away from it
Practicing 108 Sun Salutations becomes a devotional act—challenging the body, focusing the mind, and softening the heart. It’s not about doing it perfectly; it’s about showing up fully.
What to Expect:
A guided experience of four rounds of 27 Sun Salutations, with time to pause, breathe, and reflect
A grounding closing practice to seal your intention
Please bring a water bottle and wear comfortable clothes you can move and sweat in. Mats are provided.
Let this be a practice of light, love, and the power of simply continuing.
