This workshop is designed to help you build the courage to break through your fears by developing safe and strategic skills for arm balances and inversions. Through the practice of Yoga Asana, we’ll work to create the strength and stability needed to build a trusty foundation for your upside-down journey. We will focus on the fundamentals of Crow, Side Crow, Forearm Stand, and Handstand.
This workshop is for Yoga students who:
- Are new to arm balances and handstands and don’t know where to start
- Have an inversion practice, but feel stuck in their progress and want to learn how to uplevel past their plateau
- Are interested in a yogic approach to arm balancing and inversions
- Seek to build courage and self confidence through the practice of yoga Asana
Requires some experience with the Vinyasa Yoga style
Not recommended for those who have never practiced Yoga
Michael is a passionate yoga instructor with a love for vinyasa, flow, power, and heated classes. He completed his 200-hour yoga teacher training in the winter of 2024, which instilled in him a love of instructing. His focus is on helping his students build strength, mobility, and mindfulness on the mat.
An avid runner, having tackled several half and full marathons, Michael integrates dynamic movement and athleticism into his teaching, fostering a balanced and invigorating practice for all levels. Originally from Minnesota, Michael has embraced the Austin yoga community for nearly a decade, bringing a unique blend of energy and experience to every class.
