New Year’s Day holds a different kind of charge this year. Astrologically, 2026 asks us to live with intention — to act from the body instead of reacting from the mind, to follow what’s true rather than what’s convenient. It’s a year of grounded purpose, steadiness, and choosing what actually supports the life you’re building.
So we gather in community to honor that energy through the practice of Surya Namaskar, the Sun Salutation — a devotional sequence traditionally used to awaken the body, clear stagnant energy, and greet the day with purpose. Moving through it again and again becomes its own kind of meditation: breath, body, and spirit syncing into a single rhythm.
We’ll complete 108 rounds together as a shared journey. You’ll have plenty of space to rest, adjust, or simply breathe with the group until you’re ready to move again. This practice isn’t about proving anything — it’s about choosing presence. It’s about remembering that resilience grows when we show up honestly, and that doing something challenging in community changes how it lands in the body.
Live hand drumming will support us the entire time, keeping the energy grounded and steady. And when we finally settle into an extended Savasana, the whole practice will have softened into the kind of clarity that only comes from moving with intention.
This is how we enter a year of embodied purpose, see you there!
