Yin yoga is the practice of slowing down and finding stillness. Living in a constantly moving world that prizes productivity over mental health, yoga helps to balance the active parts of our lives with opportunities to check in, be still, and find release from that which we hold physically, mentally, and energetically. In this 15 hour training you will learn the techniques of yin yoga from the theory and history behind the practice, the physical, mental and energetic benefits, modifications for yourself and your students, and how to sequence a yin class. Whether you are new to yin yoga or building on current knowledge, this training will give you an immersive experience into the foundation of yin yoga and offer you tools to share this practice with others.
*Flow Yoga is a Registered Yoga School (RYS®) with Yoga Alliance and continuing education YACEP provider. Students who complete our 15 hour Yin Yoga Teacher Training will be able to use this certification as a continuing education CEU course.
Angelena's practice began in 2007 when she attended my first yoga class to stretch my body and support her sports activities. She liked how the movement focused her busy mind and the feeling of release at the end of every practice. Over the years, yoga became her companion in mindfulness. She leaned to practiced patience through injury, non-attachment, emotional regulate, and found that working towards alignment could balance her physical, mental, and energetic body.
As a teacher, Angelena offer tools and yoga practices to hold space yourself, listen to the needs of your body, and stay present throughout constant change. She classes are focused on alignment for bodies in the room, breath techniques, and self-awareness. Expect to try something different, move through dynamic postures, and find grounding in your body. Classes usually end with a short mediation and singing bowls.
