Yin & Yoga Nidra At 3rd Eye
Designed for deep release & restful renewal.

Sink into stillness and surrender in this deeply restorative class that blends the grounding practice of Yin Yoga with the profound relaxation of Yoga Nidra.

The first portion (~45 mins) of class focuses on Yin Yoga — slow, floor-based postures held for several minutes to gently stretch the body’s connective tissues, release tension, and quiet the mind. Supported by props and mindful breath, this meditative practice invites you to soften, slow down, and create space within.

The practice then transitions into Yoga Nidra, a guided meditation often described as “yogic sleep.” As you rest comfortably in savasana, you’ll be led through a journey of body awareness and visualization designed to promote deep healing, stress relief, and inner calm.

This class is suitable for all levels and is especially nourishing for those seeking balance, recovery, or a moment of stillness amid a busy life.

Benefits:

Increases flexibility and joint mobility

Calms the nervous system and reduces stress

Supports deep rest and improved sleep

Enhances mindfulness, clarity, and emotional balance

Preparing for class:
*Please plan to arrive 15 minutes early to allow time for parking, checking in, and setting up your mat. Classes take place in the Alma room located in the front courtyard of Casa de Luz.

*While we do have a limited number of mats available, we may not have enough for every student in larger classes. To ensure everyone is covered, we kindly ask that you bring your own mat if you have one. This way, those who truly need to borrow one can do so. With your help, we can continue to support one another and make our shared space comfortable and accessible for all.

We also invite you to bring any personal items (blanket, eye mask, pillow, etc.) that will help you to feel extra comfortable during class.

*Some of our classes may include optional physical touch, such as gentle adjustments or supportive contact, to help guide you in your practice. Your instructor will always announce this at the beginning of class.

If you prefer not to receive any physical touch, please feel free to let the instructor know before class begins. We fully support your choice and want to ensure that you feel safe, respected, and comfortable at all times.

FAQ

Yoga helps with mindfulness like a GPS for your mind, guiding you towards the present moment. It can help you learn to focus your attention, reduce distractions, and increase self-awareness. Plus, it's a lot more relaxing than listening to a robotic voice telling you where to turn.

The etiquette for a yoga class is pretty simple - just be respectful of your fellow yogis, don't hog the space, and try not to fart during savasana. Oh, and remember to turn off your phone - nobody wants to hear your latest TikTok during their downward dog.

Practicing yoga is like giving yourself a high-five. It can help improve flexibility, strength, and posture, while also reducing stress and promoting relaxation. Plus, it's a great way to show off your new yoga pants.

Props are like the supporting cast in a yoga class - they help you get into the right position and provide support when needed. Think of them as your trusty sidekicks on your yoga journey.

Yoga helps with joint health like a well-oiled machine, keeping your joints flexible and lubricated. It can help improve range of motion, reduce stiffness and inflammation, and prevent joint injuries. Plus, it's a lot more enjoyable than getting a tune-up at the mechanic's shop.
