Deep Chill At Flow Yoga North Loop with Kimberly W.

DEEP CHILL is a gentle, slow moving class designed to help you ease stress, reset your body, mind and spirit. There is enough movement to get the tension out of your system, and enough chilling out to prepare you for a relaxing, meditative experience

This class incorporates yoga, meditation, breathing techniques, somatic yoga, sound healing (depending on teacher) and community building.

Suitable to all bodies and abilities, modifications are offered throughout the practice.

Pro tip: Reserve your spot in advance, this class is popular!
  • Arrive early to allow the teacher to check in with you, have plenty of time to set up, unwind, relax and avoid disruptions by arriving at least 5min early. Class starts on time, we lock the doors in between classes.
  • Props and mats are available, if you prefer you can also bring your own.

FAQ

Yoga for cardiovascular health is like a gentle workout for your heart. It can help lower blood pressure, improve circulation, and reduce the risk of heart disease. It's like a love letter to your heart, only without the cheesy poetry.

Yoga is like a circus performer, juggling multiple tasks at once. It improves your balance by strengthening your core and leg muscles, and it enhances your coordination by teaching you to move your body in sync with your breath. Just don't expect to run away and join the circus after a few classes.

Yoga is like a multivitamin for your overall health. It can help improve cardiovascular health, increase flexibility and strength, and reduce stress. Plus, it's a lot more fun than swallowing a giant pill every day.

There are many different types of yoga, each with their own focus and approach. Some of the most common include:

  • Ashtanga: a dynamic and physically demanding practice
  • Bikram: a series of 26 postures and two breathing exercises, practiced in a heated room
  • Iyengar: a meticulous style that emphasizes proper alignment and the use of props
  • Kundalini: a spiritual practice that involves chanting, meditation, and dynamic movement
  • Restorative: a gentle practice that uses props to support the body in passive postures.

Yoga helps with detoxification like a spa day for your organs, helping you flush out toxins and impurities. It can help improve circulation, stimulate the lymphatic system, and promote overall health and well-being. Plus, it's a lot more relaxing than going on a juice cleanse.
