Sunday Wellness Meetup - Austin Yoga Event - at Flow Yoga Westgate

June 11th: Hypnosis For your Highest Self with Mae Davvy Hypnosis for your Highest Self:In this event, we come together to co-create a deeply guided hypnotic exploration using a theme from an oracle card pull. We take an hour to let go of the stress, anxiety and concerns of the world and replace them with messages from our highest selves. You might just be astonished at how much you can shift in an hour. Come prepared to sit or lie down comfortably and be open to the messages from your highest and greatest good. This session is designed to increase your awareness, compassion and self-love so that you can go out and reflect that back out into the world. That sounds pretty good, doesn’t it? No prior experience is required - simply come as you are. Mae Deevy is a Certified Hypnotist, Sound Healing Vocalist & Host of “Stories from the Subconscious” Podcast. Using visualization and the power of your imagination, she leads you through a relaxing exploration of the subconscious mind that makes even the most skeptical participants say, “she is the real deal.” Mae works with clients privately and in group coaching programs to reframe and rewrite the stories we tell ourselves so that we can step into a place of calm clarity. She is a member of the International Association of Counselors & Therapists (IACT) and can be found on Instagram @MaeDeevy.ATX or through her website: www.MaeDeevy.com June 18th - Somatic Breathwork is Back! Starting at 6:30pm in the lounge, we'll start the night off with Cacao & Connection: enjoy some heart-opening cacao from the 3rd Eye Bar while getting to know the community by playing Cards for Connection games. Ecstatic Dance - Austin Yoga Event - at Flow Yoga Body Collective

Come dance your heart out with the community! Allow your expression to flow with the music. What is Ecstatic Dance?Ecstatic Dance is a free movement sober dance celebration that takes place without talking or cell phones. You can enjoy music and movement in a space where you can feel free to move like YOU. The music is crafted as a complete journey, where it starts slow, making the space easy to enter into, builds to a peak, and then tapers off back to stillness. You can enjoy the experience as your own journey, enjoy dancing and connecting with others, or with the group as a whole. It’s up to you. Think of it as a movement and meditation practice that is easy and fun to do. Knowing the music will take you on a journey allows you to give up thinking too much about how to move, whether or not people are watching, or how you look while you do it. What if I can't dance? Perfect! Then ecstatic dance is for you! Cause it’s not about showing off that new TikTok dance or impressing anyone. It’s about becoming better acquainted with your body, so we can feel less like strangers to the skin we’re in. It’s about learning what we’re capable of, and trying to find new ways to express ourselves. It’s about letting go and letting it out! Some amazing benefits of ecstatic dance are increased confidence, connecting with other humans in new ways, caring less about what others think of you and having more joy in your life! Whether you dance with partners, dance by yourself, dance with your eyes closed or simply jump around, you’re doing it right! What to expect: A safe place to express yourself through movementThe most fun and incredible workout ever!A place to let loose all the tension of daily lifeAn amazing place for community and growthA place you meet yourself and others 7:00: Doors Open / Intro7:15pm: Warmup Starts8:15pm: Opening Circle8:30pm: Main Wave Starts9:45pm: Closing Circle

Cacao & Sound Healing Journey - Austin Yoga Event - at Flow Yoga Body Collective

Join us for an evening of Cacao and Sound. The evening will begin with ceremonial Guatemalan cacao which has been used for healing and heart opening for thousands of years. After we imbibe ourselves with this sacred medicine, you will be invited to a comfortable resting position to receive a transformative, multi-vibrational sound healing journey; a collaboration with multiple sacred sound musicians. During this experience you will be gently carried through a range of frequencies and vibrations woven together with vocalizations, crystal bowls, handpan, chimes, percussive texture, flute, and other instrumentation. Your Guides:Jessica Falscroft is a sacred song carrier, sound weaver, space holder, and mystic. She is committed to a path of love and using her gifts of song and sound to create spaces of deep connection, transformation, and healing. He has been recognized as a “deeply gifted vocalist” and a “magician.”Shiloh Travis is a designer and builder of spaces, an event producer, and a lover of the low end. The thread that connects it all is his love for people and his passion for serving others. More recently he has turned his talents and attention towards kirtan, sound healing, and other musical soundscapes designed to foster healing, growth, and connection to our source. Ben has studied music since middle school, primarily focusing on percussion and guitar. He has had the privilege of performing in a variety of styles and situations ranging from symphonies to garage bands to Hindu classical music.

Our society lacks any rites of passage. Especially for women. We have so many moments in our lives that deserve honoring, devotion, and acknowledgement. ———————— The goal here is to experience or re-experience the stages of female development in a devoted, sacred, and ritual-like manner. One that is lived in community and in sisterhood. We will be looking at how trauma and conditioning has shaped our understanding of ourselves and reality. And we will be looking at the duality of each innate state of being. Finding both the the traditionally good/ light that it can bring our lives and the traditionally bad/ darkness. Your behavior is shaped by what you have purposely and accidentally experienced on this planet. Understanding what is trauma vs. what is just true is vital to reconnecting with parts of yourself you might have been taught are dangerous or weak… This circle is ran by Jennifer Jade Merrihue & Michaela Whalen Jennifer: Jennifer Jade Merrihue is a Relationship and Alignment Coach with a background is in philosophy, academia, neuropsych, CBT, Eastern & Western medicine and philosophies, Neotantra/Taoism, human sexuality, existential/ spiritual kink, alternative relationships and sacred sexuality, nutrition, relationships, trauma, Neurolinguistics, and psychology... LEAP - Lifeforce Energy Awakening Process - Austin Yoga Event - at Flow Yoga

LEAP - Lifeforce Energy Awakening Process is a direct energy transmission that activates a profound self-awakening process, which has been called the kundalini awakening. Kundalini is just one of the names given to the powerful, creative, lifeforce energy that flows inside and around every human being. This energy often lies dormant; most people only tap into a small portion of its potential. Once awakened, a profound rewiring of the brain structure and central nervous system can occur with continued exposure and combined with conscious awareness and choices. This rewiring enables a deep healing that is often unattainable via other means. As it is a transmission of life force energy, it is a path of surrender and not of will, and therefore different from other self-generated willful practices (such as kundalini yoga, tantra, chi gong etc). It is a natural and intuitive energetic process that won’t shock your system in any way because it is your own internal lifeforce energy. The energy has an intelligence that will do exactly what your system needs in that moment of time. It is an invitation to explore beyond what we have known and experience a deep and profound truth and authenticity in our being – guiding you to step back into your authentic power, remembrance of your essence, and into more fulfillment while experiencing the joy of existence. LEAP SessionDuring the session you will lie down on a yoga mat with your eyes closed. Music is used to support the activation of specific brainwave patterns. In your internal experience, a wide range of phenomena can occur. Everything from spontaneous movements to emotional releases, visuals, or feelings of bliss. Many experience it as a purification or receive deep insights, realizations, and releases, whether that is physically, mentally, energetically, or emotionally. The experience is unique every time for each individual. How to prepare: bring a yoga mat, wear loose and comfortable clothing, arrive with an empty stomach (don't eat for about 2 hours before the session starts), don’t ingest any stimulating substances on the day of the session.

Woman: A rights of passage journey through Woman - Austin Yoga Event - at Flow Yoga

Woman: A 12 Month Journey, is a Women's circle that will bring you through various themes experienced in a Women's life to learn, integrate, and explore what comes to the surface and what is beneath. Join forces with other women to support each other as we navigate life in all its seasons. Experience ritual initiations we didn't get to get throughout our maturation and evolution as a women identifying animals. Learn about the mind, the body, fascia, your spirit, deep healing, and the all the pleasures that feed the flesh and the soul to experience a fullness of life Learn hands on practice we are entitled to knowing Practices that guide you to Heal Yourself and then teach other women how to heal themselves (if you desire to share this space) A place to bring your creative gifts and contribute freely You will experience different modalities that you can utilize to personalize and integrate into your life. Our society lacks any rites of passage. Especially for women. We have so many moments in our lives that deserve honoring, devotion, and acknowledgement. The next 12 months will be devoted to each stage of our life and evolution as women. Some stages will spread over more than one month. Some will have side mini sessions over zoom where you will be able to follow a guided practice to de-armor trauma in your body both sexual and general from the safety of your home. ———————— The goal here is to experience or re-experience the stages of female development in a devoted, sacred, and ritual-like manner. One that is lived in community and in sisterhood. One where we are introduced to each stage through a rite of passage. Understanding what is trauma vs. what is just true is vital to reconnecting with parts of yourself you might have been taught are dangerous or weak…

The Yoga of Joy: Freedom Through Emotional Expression - Austin Yoga Event - at Flow Yoga

The Yoga of Joy blends Kundalini yoga, ecstatic dance, breathwork, visualization, NLP, Internal Family Systems, and somatic practices to fully witness, accept and express emotions. In the Yoga of Joy, we share a journey through the chakra system and emotions. The purpose is to become more whole and healthy by strengthening the emotional muscles and the nervous system's ability to handle them without being overwhelmed. Doing this in a group setting is powerful because this involves releasing your own emotions as well as experiencing those of others. Ultimately the Yoga of Joy teaches that all emotions are signs pointing the way to the joy that is always available. ------ More details on why this is important: The Yoga of Joy is designed to solve a major problem in society: that we are taught to fear what we should love.Men are taught to fear crying and being sad or soft. Men are also taught to generally repress all emotions. Women are conditioned to fear yelling and being angry or hard. Women's emotions are repressed because men are taught to avoid them or worse. What we are taught/conditioned to fear is what the other gender is taught to do. This disconnect and repression is the cause of so much dis-ease in relationships and for individuals. 99% of disease is psychosomatic or related to both body and mind. The opposite of repression and depression is expression. This work brings us together to explore and express emotions in a safe and loving environment using a blend of modalities. By doing this work we can more fully engage with ourselves, in relationships, and in the world. Testimonials: "I felt joy in a new way. It wasn't big and exciting. Instead it was calm and powerful." "I've never experienced unity like that." "During the joy movement lots of memories came up from throughout my life. I got so many flashes of joy." "I've been emotional all week. Coming here felt so good to express and release what I was struggling with and have it received by other people. It gave me permission to feel."

Sunday Wellness Meetup - Austin Yoga Event - at Flow Yoga Westgate

Intuitive Movement with Marya Salman Intuitive movement is the practice of listening and giving space for the body to move in its own accord. While intuitive movement can look like dance, it is not meant to be performative.Rather, the invitation is to use the body as a vehicle for living your emotions, and perhaps even moving beyond the confinement of our bodies to connect to a deeper part of ourselves. “The body has the capacity to absorb emotions without building on them, and to let them go back to the space where they came from. The yogi does not try to dominate his emotions, on the contrary he lets them bring their cycle to completion. He lives one emotion at a time, without stagnation or repetition.”~ Daniel Odier No previous experience of any kind is needed to join. The intention of this container is to move into a judgment free space, both in relationship to yourself and others. We will start with some floor work in silence and slowly move into standing with accompanying music. You can expect to be guided for the first portion of the session, until finally you will be encouraged to explore on your own. We will end the session with group toning, where we will all make sounds together (usually vowel sounds). Marya Salman is a lover of dance, movement, play, wrestling, yoga and all things that connect her to self-expression. It is through self-expression that she finds her medicine.

Microdosing with Intention - Austin Yoga Event - at Flow Yoga

Microdosing with Intention with Pritam Tara- The practice of microdosing has steadily been making its way into the mainstream as a natural way to help treat the symptoms of depression and anxiety while boosting creativity, productivity, spiritual connection, and overall well-being. And when used skillfully and with intention, it can also create a neurological opening and “stickiness” so that the changes you are making can take root. This workshop is for if: - You are ready to make positive changes with as much ease, motivation, and inspiration as possible to enjoy life more fully. - You want to expand your present-moment awareness and increase your attention to live more in the NOW and less in the past or future. - You've seen the research and heard about the many benefits of microdosing but are unsure of the best practices to do it safely and enjoyably. - You are ready to replace outdated programs, beliefs, and habits that no longer serve you with new practices that will support who you are becoming in 2023. - You've had peak experiences working with sacred natural medicines and would like to bring more of that sacredness and intention into your day-to-day. Whether you are entirely new or have some experience working with sacred nature medicines, this workshop is a great way to deepen your understanding of the positive effects of intentional microdosing. This is an educational offering to help support the safe, mindful, and respectful use of sacred natural medicines. A cacao and kanna microdose will be offered. No illegal substances will be provided :)

Repost • @annaliehowling ✨

That inner critic that likes you playing it safe can sense courage, growth, and desire, and tries to put out that fire in you by keeping you safe & small, ensuring that you won't fail.

This image shows the stages of change and growth, knowing that you will face fears, the inner critic acts as a gatekeeper before you take the leap into the learning zone, and then the bliss of grounding into growth.

Whether it be a leap or a small step out of your comfort zone, it may not be easy, it may take time, BUT it is possible, manageable & the quickest way to silence your inner critic!

Where can you push yourself today?
