Vinyasa (hot) At Flow Yoga Westgate with Veronica K.

Vinyasa yoga is a creative form of yoga. Yoga poses are linked together with the breath in a flowing sequence. Expect to move, sometimes vigorously, from pose to pose. This practice stimulates and energizes the mind and body through asanas (poses), with focus on the breath. This class will help you to build strength, increase endurance, create flexibility, and release tension.

If you appreciate having things a little loose and like to keep moving, this style is definitely worth a try.

Heated at 80-85 degrees

Yin is a slow, mindful practice that targets the connective tissues, such as ligaments, joints, and fascia. Working with the energetic systems of the body, Yin Yoga brings the body into balance, and improves its natural range of motion. Most poses are done while seated or lying down supported by the use of props, and are held in stillness for several minutes. As we move into stillness, we bring body, breath and soul into harmony. It’s a perfect complement to physical yoga practice. You will leave class feeling refreshed, renewed and restored.

Join us for this beautiful monthly gathering where we come together in a ceremonial setting to drop in deeply with ourselves and one another and experience song and sound as a prayer. We'll spend an hour singing together, connecting to our hearts through our voices with powerful prayers in the form of chants and sacred songs. We then move into a multi-vibrational soundscape with crystal bowls, chimes, gongs, vocal sounding, and percussive texture. Here you are invited to recline and go deeper into your own experience. About the group, SparrowSparrow is a multi-instrumental band in devotion to love, connection, community, and expansion through the creation of song and sound as a prayer offering. They create spaces where each person is invited to embody their truest expression as the essence of divine creation and love.

FAQ

Yoga is like a tightrope walker for your body. It can help improve your balance by strengthening your core and leg muscles, and improving your proprioception (your body's awareness of its position in space). Plus, it's a lot more fun than walking a tightrope all day.

Yoga helps with mental health like a therapist, only without the couch and notepad. It can help you learn to manage your thoughts and emotions, increase self-awareness, and reduce symptoms of anxiety and depression. Plus, it's a lot more fun than lying on a couch talking about your childhood.

Choosing the right yoga style is like finding the perfect pair of jeans – it's all about personal preference and what fits you best. Do some research, try out different styles, and don't be afraid to mix and match until you find the perfect combination. And remember, just because your best friend swears by Bikram yoga doesn't mean it's the right style for you.

Yoga can help improve longevity like a fountain of youth for your body. It can help reduce the risk of chronic diseases, improve cardiovascular health, and reduce stress. Plus, it's a lot more fun than drinking from an actual fountain of youth.

Yoga helps with injury recovery like a physical therapist, providing gentle and supportive movements to aid in the healing process. It can help improve flexibility, reduce pain and stiffness, and increase overall mobility. Plus, it's a lot more relaxing than going to a physical therapy appointment.
