A Joyful Kirtan Experience At Flow Yoga Westgate with Jacq S.
Chanting mantra gives the mind something to do, which allows us to more easily focus, and be in the present moment. Some might even call this meditation! There is no goal to reach in our practice - the point is to be present in the experience, in the vibration, in the movement, moment to moment. It's a chance to be free - to be yourself!
No experience is required. This is a family friendly event. Feel free to bring shakers, a tambourine, or something similar to co-create this experience with us! We are so thrilled to be back with you all and share this uplifting and powerful practice!
Flow classes are intended to provide a middle ground for the Yang practices. Blending elements of vinyasa and hatha by flowing and holding Asanas/Poses.
30 day trial for $30Flow classes are intended to provide a middle ground for the Yang practices. Blending elements of vinyasa and hatha, flowing and holding, while also allowing for creative interpretation individual to each of your incredible Flow Instructors.
Flow is slower paced than your vinyasa classes but faster and more succinct than a Hatha practice. Classes will have elements of flowing sequences as well as extended holds so that practitioners can get aspects of expression and structure in a balanced and all levels friendly container. The degree to which each element is present will be individual to the teacher but regardless this class is inclusive to all.
The main goal of this style of yoga is to create a state of calmness and balance while finding strength. You can also perform it as a form of moving meditation. It helps bring the body into a state of deep relaxation and mindfulness by working with the breath and practicing mindful movements and holds in a slow and gentle manner.

Yoga can help improve longevity like a fountain of youth for your body. It can help reduce the risk of chronic diseases, improve cardiovascular health, and reduce stress. Plus, it's a lot more fun than drinking from an actual fountain of youth.
To prevent injuries during yoga practice, treat your body like a delicate flower – with care and respect. Warm up properly, listen to your body, and don't push yourself too far. And remember, it's better to take a break and rest than to force yourself into a pose that could lead to injury.
Hatha and Vinyasa yoga are like two sides of the same coin - they both incorporate physical postures, but they have different approaches. Hatha yoga is slower and more static, focusing on holding each pose for longer periods of time, while Vinyasa yoga is more fluid and dynamic, with a focus on linking breath and movement.
Yoga can help improve flexibility like a magic potion for your muscles. It can help stretch and lengthen your muscles, which can improve your range of motion. Plus, it's a lot more fun than being stuck in a stretching machine all day.
How often you practice yoga is like how often you brush your teeth. Ideally, you should aim for at least 3-5 times a week for optimal benefits, but even once a week is better than nothing. Just like brushing your teeth, the more you do it, the better you'll feel. And trust me, nobody likes a smelly yogi.
