Flow + Chill At Flow Yoga Cedar Park with Crystal B.

Yoga means union, and also union of opposites...effort and ease, strength and flexibility. To find balance in the body, we need both movement and stillness. Flow +Chill is a combination class, starting with a slower paced vinyasa, followed by restorative poses (supported by props). We will flow for half of class to warm the body up, then take the second part of class to stretch, release tension and dive into a deeper state of chill.
Some classes might include sound healing, breathwork or meditation.

One of the most popular yoga myths is the belief that you need to be flexible before ever setting foot on a mat. The truth is, flexibility isn’t a prerequisite. In fact, a regular yoga practice will actually help you become more flexible over time. Increased flexibility can help decrease the risk of injuries, create a better range of motion of joints, lengthen muscles, improve balance and overall health!Flexibility + mobility is a fun, judgment-free space, suitable for all levels. In this class we will work on different muscle groups and joints each week, using Functional movements, CARs (Controlled Articular Rotations), Kinstretch techniques as well as Myofascial release to improve range of motion and flexibility. Props such as straps, bolsters, blocks, and tennis balls will be used to target specific areas and help ease your body into the poses and stretches. Modifications and options will be offered throughout the class.

From the perspective as a newbie to the yoga world, I get to explore a wonderful variety of yoga classes and find what speaks to my needs and wants. I feel like I found a gem because the instructors, the environment, the studio and the people are a 10 out of 10!!

I’ve tried a few different studios and nothing compares to this one! As a beginner, I was worried about my flexibility, balance, and strength around veteran yoga enthusiasts. I also didn’t want to go somewhere that felt clique-ish and like I had to wear lululemon to every class. Each class has people of all ages and abilities, and I never feel out of place. The instructors are super warm, helpful, and offer tons of modifications. It’s also so nice grabbing a cup of chai before or after class in the lounge. I’ve tried almost all the classes and each one was incredible! I didn’t think I could love yoga so much!

I am so glad my friend introduced me to Flow Yoga. I attend classes at the Cedar Park location. I love how tall the ceiling in the large room is. The place is welcoming and relaxing. The biggest draw for me to join Flow Yoga is its affordability + it is where my friend goes, so she keeps me accountable. :)

I have been going to Flow Yoga since the start of November and it’s honestly one of the best decisions I’ve made. I wanted to restart my wellness journey but sometimes I get gym anxiety. My first time in this studio was super warming and welcoming, since then I haven’t looked back. I take classes with JJ and Jimmy and they are beyond encouraging and willing to listen and help with any questions you may have. Really happy that I found this place!

The studio is very welcoming with a great space. I've enjoyed the intensity of the hot vinyasa classes, plus the Sound Bath yoga is incredibly relaxing and meditative.

I love this studio! Pricing is completely reasonable and cheaper than anywhere else I can find around here, all of the instructors/classes are phenomenal. This place actually makes me excited to come to classes, I feel so amazing afterwards every time. I am a newbie in yoga and never feel out of place, the instructors explain the poses very well and I never feel lost or frustrated.

FAQ

Bringing your own yoga mat to class is like bringing your own pillow to a sleepover – it's a personal preference. Most studios provide mats, but if you're a germaphobe or just want to be extra prepared, feel free to bring your own. Just make sure it's clean and not too slippery.

Another misconception is that yoga is just about stretching, but it's like saying a car is just about the wheels. Yoga is a holistic practice that includes breathwork, meditation, and mindfulness, all of which can have profound effects on the mind and body.

Yoga is like a personal trainer for your muscles. It can help improve muscle tone by strengthening and stretching your muscles. Plus, it's a lot cheaper than hiring a personal trainer to follow you around all day.

Breathwork in yoga is like the secret sauce - it takes your practice to the next level. It helps you stay present, calm, and focused, and can even enhance the physical benefits of the poses.

Yoga can help improve focus and concentration like a mental workout for your brain. It can help reduce stress and anxiety, which can interfere with focus. Plus, the focus on mindfulness can help you stay present and focused.
