Journey Within - Somatic Breathwork Ceremony At Flow Yoga Georgetown with Katie S.
Somatic Breathwork uses circular diaphragmatic breathing to tap into your body’s inner wisdom and release suppressed emotions. Lying on your back, Katie will guide you through a series of deep-breathing exercises with varied speeds and breath holds.
Transformational healing occurs when we address emotional wounds at their core. This practice helps you become aware of where your body stores unprocessed emotions. By focusing on deliberate breathing, you can maintain a state of calm and alertness, allowing you to fully experience and release emotions such as sorrow, hurt, and grief.
Through the breath's cleansing power, emotions may surface to be felt and released, leaving you lighter, clearer, and more connected with yourself and the world around you. You’ll be encouraged to listen to your body and move at your own pace.

About FlowWith locations all over Austin and memberships that get you unlimited yoga at all Flow locations, we've got you covered.
Yoga is like a posture-perfecting superhero, swooping in to save you from a lifetime of slouching. It strengthens your core and back muscles, which helps to improve your posture. Plus, it's a lot more fun than wearing one of those posture-correcting devices that make you look like a robot.
To know if you're doing a yoga pose correctly, channel your inner detective. Observe your alignment, check in with your breath, and listen to your body. If something feels off, make adjustments or ask your instructor for guidance. Remember, it's not about being perfect – it's about finding what works best for your body.
Yoga helps with mindfulness like a GPS for your mind, guiding you towards the present moment. It can help you learn to focus your attention, reduce distractions, and increase self-awareness. Plus, it's a lot more relaxing than listening to a robotic voice telling you where to turn.
Yoga helps with detoxification like a spa day for your organs, helping you flush out toxins and impurities. It can help improve circulation, stimulate the lymphatic system, and promote overall health and well-being. Plus, it's a lot more relaxing than going on a juice cleanse.
To prevent injuries during yoga practice, treat your body like a delicate flower – with care and respect. Warm up properly, listen to your body, and don't push yourself too far. And remember, it's better to take a break and rest than to force yourself into a pose that could lead to injury.
