Cacao Circle for Strength and Abundance + Drum Journey At Flow Yoga Georgetown with Kim D.
According to Mayan philosophy, we humans are reflections of the spiraling universe, including its light and darkness. In this circle, we will share the gentle and loving medicine of cacao and reflect on the meaning of the Mayan chu’mil (day sign) Aj, which reminds us that as reflections of the divine, we also carry the sacredness of strength and abundance within ourselves.
We will meditate in a shaman-led drum journey to seek guidance for balancing our inner dualities so our strengths and gifts may build us into stronger forces for love and peace.
The atmosphere will be enriched with candles and drums to cleanse and energize our circle. Together, we’ll engage in journaling, community sharing, and healing.
In honoring Mayan traditions, we are proud to source our cacao from indigenous communities in the Cahabón region of Guatemala.

Choosing the right yoga class is like picking a movie to watch – you want to find one that matches your mood and interests. Check out different studios, read class descriptions, and don't be afraid to ask questions. And remember, if you end up in a class that's not quite your cup of tea, there's always the next one.
Yoga is like a circus performer, juggling multiple tasks at once. It improves your balance by strengthening your core and leg muscles, and it enhances your coordination by teaching you to move your body in sync with your breath. Just don't expect to run away and join the circus after a few classes.
Yoga helps with stress reduction like a warm bath, only without the pruney fingers. It can help calm the mind, lower cortisol levels, and increase relaxation. Plus, it's a lot more invigorating than soaking in a tub.
Yoga helps with pregnancy like a prenatal vitamin, providing nourishment and support for both mother and baby. It can help you prepare for childbirth, reduce stress and anxiety, and improve overall well-being. Plus, it's a lot more fun than swallowing a giant pill.
Yoga helps with weight management like a personal trainer, only without the whistle and clipboard. It can help you build lean muscle mass, increase metabolism, and reduce stress, all of which can contribute to weight loss and maintenance. Plus, it's a lot more fun than counting calories.
