Free Yoga + Pool Day
Sat Sep 12 at 9am
This gentle, restorative workshop is created specifically for women navigating infertility and the many emotions and experiences that may accompany it. This is not a workshop about becoming more positive, trying harder, or finding the “right” mindset. It is an invitation to step away from doing and enter a space of care, reflection, and deep rest.
Our time together will include gentle movement, accessible breathwork and meditation, guided journaling, and supported restorative yoga postures. Practices will be offered invitationally, allowing each participant to choose what feels appropriate for her body and experience.
You are invited to bring a journal for reflective writing during the workshop. Please also wear clothing that feels comfortable and supportive for rest and gentle movement. Layers are often helpful, as the body can feel cooler during restorative practice.
This workshop is for women at any point in an infertility journey, including those undergoing evaluation or treatment, living with unexplained infertility, experiencing treatment pauses or unsuccessful cycles, or simply needing a space where the complexity of this experience can be acknowledged.
Yoga helps with mental clarity like a pair of glasses, helping you see things more clearly. It can help you learn to quiet the mind, reduce mental clutter, and increase focus and concentration. Plus, it's a lot more enjoyable than wearing glasses.
Yoga is like a heart-healthy superhero. It can help improve cardiovascular health by reducing stress, lowering blood pressure, and improving circulation. Plus, it's a lot more fun than running on a treadmill all day.
Yoga helps with physical fitness like a personal trainer, only without the yelling and grunting. It can help you build strength, increase flexibility, and improve cardiovascular health. Plus, it's a lot more peaceful than sweating it out in a crowded gym.
Yoga is like a soothing balm for your joints. It can help reduce pain and stiffness associated with arthritis by improving your flexibility, strength, and balance. Plus, it's a lot more fun than sitting in a hot tub all day.
Your finest stretchy pants, of course! But seriously, wear something comfortable and breathable that allows you to move freely. No need for designer labels, unless you want to impress the yoga mat next to you.
