Free Class & Hatha Teacher Training Info Session
Sun Jun 14 at 2pm
Join Angie for an extended yoga experience that combines meditation, yoga philosophy, movement, restoration, and community.
This week's theme is Santosha, the second of the Niyamas from the Yoga Sutras. Santosha is often translated as contentment and invites us to appreciate what is already here rather than constantly focusing on what is missing.
Together we'll explore simple ways to bring more gratitude, ease, and contentment into both our practice and everyday life.
We'll begin with a centering meditation and introduction to Santosha, move through an all-levels Hatha practice, and finish with a longer Yin and Restorative practice designed to help you slow down, recharge, and reconnect.
What you will experience:
• 15 min Meditation, reflection, and discussion on Santosha
• 30 minutes of all-levels Hatha Yoga
• 45 minutes of Yin & Restorative Yoga
• Yoga philosophy you can apply on and off the mat
• Time to slow down, recharge, and reconnect
Come as you are and leave feeling a little lighter, more relaxed, and inspired for the week ahead.
Yoga is like a soothing balm for stress and anxiety, helping to calm your mind and relax your body. It teaches you to focus on your breath and be present in the moment, which can help to reduce stress and anxiety. Plus, it's a lot cheaper than a lifetime of therapy sessions.
Yoga can help improve flexibility like a magic potion for your muscles. It can help stretch and lengthen your muscles, which can improve your range of motion. Plus, it's a lot more fun than being stuck in a stretching machine all day.
Breathing in yoga is like the fuel that powers your practice - it keeps you going and helps you get the most out of each pose. It also helps you stay calm and focused, and can even enhance the physical benefits of the poses.
Yoga can help with emotional healing like a gentle massage for your heart. It can help you process and release emotions, improve self-awareness, and increase feelings of happiness and well-being. Plus, it's a lot more fun than sitting in a therapist's office all day.
Yoga helps with posture and body alignment like a GPS, guiding you towards your destination. It can help you learn to stand tall, align your spine, and move with more ease and grace. Plus, it's a lot more fun than listening to a robotic voice telling you where to turn.
