This Sunday we have Derek Lively facilitating Somatic Breathwork
Somatic Breathwork is a a holistic practice that uses conscious, controlled breathing patterns to promote physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being. Somatic Breathwork™ uses a circular diaphragmatic breath to tap into your body's inner wisdom with the intention to release any suppressed emotion that's been stored in the body through expression.
While lying on your back, you will be led through a series of deep-breathing exercises at varied speeds along with several breath holds. Through the cleansing power of the breath, emotions will often come forth to be felt and then released, leaving you lighter, clearer, and more connected with yourself and the world around you. You will be encouraged to listen to your body and move at your own pace if the breath intensity becomes too much.
Will need to sign a waiver prior to participation:

Yoga is like a soothing balm for stress and anxiety, helping to calm your mind and relax your body. It teaches you to focus on your breath and be present in the moment, which can help to reduce stress and anxiety. Plus, it's a lot cheaper than a lifetime of therapy sessions.
Yoga is like a natural pain reliever. It can help reduce chronic pain by improving flexibility, strength, and posture. Plus, the focus on mindfulness can help you manage pain by changing your relationship to it.
Yoga is like a full-course meal, while stretching is like a quick snack. Yoga incorporates breathwork, meditation, and mindfulness, while stretching is more focused on the physical aspect of flexibility and range of motion.
Yoga helps with flexibility like a ballet dancer, helping you move gracefully and fluidly. It can help improve posture, increase range of motion, and reduce the risk of injuries. Plus, it's a lot more enjoyable than trying to pirouette in a tutu.
Hot yoga is like a sauna for your soul. It can help improve flexibility, detoxify the body, and enhance overall well-being. Plus, it's a great way to sweat out all the toxins from that last slice of pizza. Just don't forget to hydrate!
